Imagine Tauriel’s delight at having another female warrior by her side.

The red-haired elf stared at you with wide, curious eyes. It wasn’t quite common that someone she would be summoned and find herself standing with one that she does not know – let alone a female elf sporting a sword on both sides of her hips – considering that the only reason the elven king, Thanduil, usually communicated with her was when she’d report to him with news of completed patrols and protection of Mirkwood. Her green eyes scanned your form up and down before looking back at the nonchalant male standing in front of the two of you.

“Forgive me, my lord... but may I ask who she is?” Tauriel asked, gesturing to you with a quick glance. The king glanced at you as well before turning his attention to the Captain of the Guard. He gave her your name before further introducing you.

“This young one will need a partner to fight and patrol with.” he said, slight frown plastered on his face. “She has just finished her training and will need someone to relate to and to guide her.”

You stood still, remaining calm and watched as he walked over Tauriel and leaned over to her ear, whispering.

“If you fail and I come to regret my choice, I will not be pleased. Do a good job.” Thranduil said under a low tone so that you wouldn’t be able to hear. You guessed it was a stern command as you noticed her tense and clench her fists when she nodded quickly. She turned towards you and gave the smallest hint of a smile.

“Shall we get going then?”

You nodded a “yes” in response and off the two of you went, exiting the room and heading outside. Once you were out the big doors, the two of you looked at each other once more, Tauriel wearing a rather wide grin, making you raise an eyebrow and smirk slightly, amused.

“Excited, are we not?” you teased. She playfully tapped your arm and rolled her arms, chuckling as she walked off with you right in toe.

“Let’s go before we get decapitated for fooling around by the king.”

Imagine stargazing with Tauriel.

“Hey, look up there!” you said excitedly, nudging your mentor and partner as you pointed at the shining sky. She followed your gaze and smiled at the sight. There were plenty of stars that night, a lot more than usual, and the large numbers of stars had made the forest light up and shine under the bright light of the stars. You both shared the level of excitement at the sight of many constellations forming in front of your eyes.

You lay down on the soft, green grass as you gazed at the stars with Tauriel at your side, the air soft and blissful. It was especially a splendid end for a day off that went well for you both.

“Hey, Tauriel.” you said quietly and glanced at her, as to not disturb the calming moment.

"Yes, little one?” she responded with the same, yet softer tone as she returned your glance.

“Do you think there will be a shooting star tonight?” you asked, looking back at the midnight blue sky, hands at the back of your head like a pillow. You may have been 200 years old and seen many starry nights, but this night was more... unique; mostly because you got to spend it with someone instead of watching it in sadness in your lonesome as per usual before your 10 years of mentorship with Tauriel.

“Hmmm... that is a good question.” Tauriel replied, humming to herself momentarily and looking back up at the sky as well, arms crossed over her torso. “I believe there is a big possibility.”

“What type of wish would you make?”

“Now don’t be too nosy! If I told you, it wouldn’t come true.”

“Good point... I would need a new wish though.” you pondered to yourself, biting your bottom lip in thought.

“Your other wishes never came true?” Tauriel asked curiously. You smiled slightly and glanced quickly at her before looking back at the Big Dipper.

“To be truthful, they haven’t.” you said quietly in response. “I was merely a child when I made that wish.”

“If I may ask... what was the wish?”

“... It was for my parents to come back to life and return to me.”

Tauriel’s eyes widened slightly and she looked at you. Feeling her forest green eyes on you, your own dark-shaded eyes met hers.

“Your parents are no longer alive?” she asked. You nodded and smiled sheepishly.

“Yeah... cursed orcs killed them. What could I do about it now? They’re not going to come back.”

Tauriel’s eyes softened more and she gave a smile of sympathy.

“I understand the feeling.” she said. “My parents were killed by orcs as well.”

You returned her sympathetic gaze. You had no clue of her past, as you rarely got to speak to each other heart-to-heart. You knew you weren’t the only orphan in the world – there were plenty of them in each race of Middle-Earth after all – though it felt nice and reassuring to have someone to understand your circumstances.

“It sucks, huh?” you merely chuckled slightly, despite the saddening topic. “Not having complete control of our lives and events taking places within them.”

“Yes, it does.” Tauriel agreed, smirking slightly. “It is during those times where you want to kick karma’s arse severely.”

“Exactly!” you responded with a wide grin. “You have read my mind perfectly. I knew you had a big knowledge of the use of bows and arrows, along with familiarity of nature... I did not know you were a psychic though.”

You both sat up on the grass and laughed softly, shaking your heads slightly. Tauriel placed a finger over her lips and winked.

“It shall be a secret between mentor and pupil, alright?” Tauriel teased. You rolled your eyes and as you looked back at the sky, your eyes widened and you felt a set of sparks explode within you, your hand going over hers and your other hands’ finger pointing at a flowing ball of light flashing in the sky.

“Tauriel, a shooting star!” you exclaimed excitedly. “Make a wish!”

Unbeknownst to you, she already made her wish a few nights ago on her own.

It was to get closer to you like a sister.

Imagine Tauriel becoming a loyal best friend that never leaves your side.

You growled in spite of yourself, running and jumping from branch to branch while shooting multiple arrows at the despicable spiders in the forest of Mirkwood. You were out patrolling with the rest of the wood-elves when the activity of the spiders got stronger. Now there you were, fighting with a group of spiders; and they were not happy with you.

As you brought one of your daggers down into the head of the last of the group of critters, you let a huge sigh of relief and exhaustion. This had been the biggest number of spiders you had to confront and it was taking a toll on you.

However, before you knew it, you were pinned down and being a target of attempted biting and clawing by a particularly large spider. You snarled and growled at each other and you tried to grab your dagger, only to have it knocked out of your palm in a second. It was just close to moving in for the kill when an arrow shot right through his eye, blood and gush squirting a little on your face. You made a face of disgust, though relieved, and you pushed the horrid creature off of you. Your eyes met and your saviour helped you back onto your two feet.

“Thank you, Tauriel.” you said with a grin of appreciation. She smirked at you and rolled her eyes.

“It is merely my duty.” she said in response as the two of you once you finished wiping off the souvenirs of the spider’s eye splashing on you.

“Those spiders are getting tougher to handle each day.” you groaned in annoyance, wiping your hand of your sleeve. “It’s growing to be a big nuisance to handle. If only they go extinct or go bother someone else’s forest!”

Tauriel rolled her eyes at your annoyed mood, having grown used to it the past 100 years of knowing you. It felt like a routine she wouldn’t be able to let go of as your trust-worthy best friend and companion. If anything, she knew that there was something wrong with you if you didn’t have your annoyed moment or it lasted way longer than a mere few minutes.

“If they did not exist in the forest, you would lack something to complain about after breakfast and before luncheon.” she said jokingly. You shoved her gently while rolling your eyes at her, knowing that she did have a point. You did need a topic to talk about, even if you dreaded it and complained about it; otherwise the day would be full and out of place. It was a habit and apart of your schedule.

“I know, but they know which nerves to press on each day of patrolling!” you whine, looking around at the gloomy-looking forest with webs to and fro. “It’s getting worse and worse. To be honest, I am getting quite concerned.”

Tauriel nodded here and there as you walked around, looking back and forth for any suspicious activity to emerge while you talked about your worries for the forest’s condition.

You were about to continue when you heard screams and the rest of the elves rush past the two of you. You go to a blonde-haired elf and stop him from running past, your hand holding his wrist tightly as you frowned.

“May I ask what is going on?” you asked him quickly. He had a big frown and glared off to the direction where the rest of the group were heading.

“Dwarves. That’s what is going on.” he answered before you let go of his wrist and watched him rush off, bow and arrow in hand. Your frown deepened and you shared a look with Tauriel, knowing what the other was thinking.

“Ready?” she asked.

“I have been ready the minute you took me under my wing.” you said with a slight smirk. You nodded at each other before heading off together, side by side, for an unforgettable adventure.
When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. -Henri Nouwen.

What do you do when you develop an obsession for The Hobbit after watching the second movie and start reading the book? Write three drabbles and put them together of course! ;w;

Got the inspiration from the three imagines from imaginexhobbit.tumblr.com under the Tauriel tag (Link; imaginexhobbit.tumblr.com/ ). May you enjoy this quick-paced, triple-drabble thing and... yeah. xD
